Embossing Designer Series Paper!

I had alot of scraps left over from my Elegant Nature Card Class, so I wanted to do something with it...I glued the squares of Elegant Soiree DSP onto cardstock and ran it through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder. It gives the paper such a nice texture...its much prettier in person!
This paper is so pretty with all of my fave colours, Baja Breeze, Soft Suede and Crumb Cake. Other Embellishments include Basic Pearls, Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon. Sentiment is from Curly Cute stamp set, a must have!

In Colour Pocket Silhouettes

Well, yesterday was my first day back from a 2 week vacation...and I decided to take a day off from blogging and enjoy my last day before going back to work. I am very lazy when it comes to unpacking my suitcases, so I decided to do a card with a stamp set I haven't used in a very long time....Pocket Silhouettes. Since all of my newer products were somewhere in my suitcases (from my workshops in Ontario) I decided to use some In Colours on the card as well.

This set was one of the very first stamp sets I bought from Stampin' Up! about 2 yrs ago....I was hooked after my first order, and now look where I am! LOL

Stampin' Up! Products used:
Paper: Concord Crush, Blushing Bride, Whisper White Cardstocks
Ink: Pear Pizzazz, Poppy Parade, Concord Crush
Stamps: Pocket Silhouettes
Ribbon: Pear Pizzazz Poly Stitched
Punches: Scallop Border, Word Window

I really need a vacation from my vacation! All I want is to lay on a beach and do NOTHING!!  ;)

Scallop Punch Flower Tutorial

Ok, so here's the tutorial I promised yesterday for Scallop Punch Flowers. These are super easy!

Punch some Designer Series Paper with the Scallop Circle Punch

Cut every 2 scallop in towards the middle...

Sponge the edges...

Turn upside down, rub each petal with the end of the Piercing Tool on the Mat Pack Foam.

Flip over....

Rub in the middle in a circular motion until all petals pop up...

Add a brad or button to the middle, and there ya go!

Diane's Workshop

We had a fantastic night at Diane's last night, creating these two cards, and playing with the amazing Big Shot!!

Diane had the Faith Girlz over, they are a group of tweens from our church, and they did such  a great job with their cards, I was truly impressed!!!

They also LOVED the Big Shot and wanted to help all the 'older' ladies with theirs as well!

They suggested the church should get one for the kids to use for their classes...and we did just that!! Great idea girlz!!

Here's a few pics from the rest of the night as well! A big thankyou to Diane (my aunt) for hosting the workshop! I'm sure she's thrilled it's during Sale-a-bration, it's the best time of year!!

tables ready to go, with my little valentine's choc. treats!

Me showing the ladies my Simply Adorned Necklace...
Showing Pam how to use the Big Shot.

Thanks again ladies!!!
