Say Goodbye #1 - Animal Stories

I'm starting a week long series leading up to the end of the retirement lists! These stamps that I use can be purchased in my Online Store , but hurry before they are gone on June 30th!

Todays featured retiring stamp set is Animal Stories. This set is adorable, and got alot of use for my cousin's baby shower and thank you cards last year. So I thought it would only be fitting to use it again for Indira's 1 year birthday card. Unfortunately with the Canada Post strike, who knows when it will get there, but her birthday is June 30.

I used all the new In Colours in the upcoming Idea Book & Catalogue, available July 1st!!!
The base is Calypso Coral, elephant is Island Indigo, Giraffe is Wisteria Wonder, Owl is Lucky Limeade, and whale is Pool Party!

Happy 1st Birthday Indira Hope! <3

Wedding Photos!

So I'm back! It was a quick, but super busy trip home for my cousin Bethany's wedding. What a fun event! Lots of PINK!  The venue was an old theatre in my home town, which has been renovated recently, and was the perfect place to hold a wedding! The stage turned into a dance floor after dinner too! She had a cute photo booth set up, she was also her own photographer! Here's a few photos of the event, I'll be back tomorrow with a new project. Enjoy!

Their names on the Marquis!

Ceremony on the stage of the theatre covered with pink and white balloons!

The KISS!
Mr. and Mrs. LaFleur
Cutting of the 10 Cakes!

Me and Bethie in the photobooth
My sister in law Jen and me with flamingos!
Hot pink and black  heart balloons!
Me and my brother Taylor
This was the day before when we were helping with decorating. We assembled 40 of those pom poms ...lots of work but looked so cute! My mom made the card box!

I've got so many more great photos, can't wait to scrapbook them all!!

Other uses for Pennant Punch!

When I got my Pennant Parade stamp set in my pre-order, I soon realized how many different uses there are for this set...not just for Pennants!
I adore this idea, which I saw in a photo in the new Idea Book & Catalogue (available to order from July 1st).....turn the pennant stamp upside down and add the top of the Cupcake Punch, and you got a cute little Icecream Cone!!! Isn't that adorable! and so easy!

There is a stamp for a bottom of a Christmas tree....turn the pennant upside down, and you got yourself a cute Christmas card!
So many great uses for this stamp set and punch!!

Pennant Parade & Pennant Punch - Sneak Peek!

This is so exciting! Check out the new Petite Pennants Builder Punch....that's right Pennants in the plural form!! This awesome punch has 2! One scalloped , like I used here, and one straight edged that fits inside the scalloped one. And the coordinating stamp set, Pennant Parade, comes with so many different options for the punch! I'll show 2 other options tomorrow, you won't believe it!

With this card, I stamped the pennants in all 5 of the NEW InColours! Starting from left to right.... Pool Party, Wisteria Wonder, Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade, and Island Indigo (which is also the card base colour too!)  I strung them all together with some Basic White Baker's Twine. The sentiment is from the new Hostess set, and I stamped it in Craft Whisper White, then heat set it with some Clear embossing powder.

Want these amazing new products?  Gotta wait til July 1st!!! But you can get your hands on a new 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalogue  for FREE, if you make a $40 or more purchase from my Online Store now until the end of June. Email me at cravingstamping@hotmail.com for questions, orders, etc....

 The new colours are:
Island Indigo....Calypso Coral...Pool Party....Lucky Limeade...Wisteria Wonder

I used the cardstock punched with the Postage Stamp Punch, then embossed it with the Square Lattice Folder to create a quilted look. The stamp is from a new Hostess set called Happiest Birthday Wishes. I coloured it with the new In Colour markers.

Hope you enjoyed this sneak peek! Let me know in the comments which new colour is your fave! I think mine is Calypso Coral and Island Indigo...but it's so hard to pick!

Happy 'I do' Day! ~ Wedding Card

I just think this stamp is so adorable, from the Word Play stamp set!  Perfect for a  fun and cute wedding card!

This one is for my cousin who is getting married on the 18th.... Her wedding colours are Hot Pink and Black, so I used Melon Mambo cardstock, with matching Pom Pom trim. She's having pom poms as decorations I hear, so I thought she'd like these!

I did the same style as my previous wedding invitations, I really love how beautifully it opens and closes with the ribbon. I added the cute sentiment from a retired stamp set Picture This. It just totally suits her!

Wedding Invitations - using Fabulous Florets

I finished all 125 invites yesterday for my friend. It was a big job, but I'm happy with the outcome. She just asked me to make the wedding favors and seating chart/place cards, to match with the invites! Here's a few pics of the finished product...for privacy reasons I can't show the entire inside of the card...

The 'B' is from Broadsheet Alphabet set, I embossed it with Versa Mark ink and Black embossing powder, then heat set it with the Heat Tool. The tags are punched out with the 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" circle punches. They are tied on with Linen Thread. The base of the invites is Chocolate Chip cardstock, embossed with the Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder on the Big Shot.

This is the inside....the info is printed on Very Vanilla cardstock, then matted with So Saffron. I stamped the leafy image from the Fabulous Florets stamp set (in the Summer Mini) with VersaMark ink then heat embossed with the NEW Tangerine Tango embossing powder. I love the colours we picked, goes perfectly with her fall wedding.
Just to show the side view of the invite opened....the two flaps fold together to close it, and is tied shut with the ribbon.

I even embossed the flaps of the envelopes so they match the invites!
