Can't believe i'm already at #5!!! Today is also my 1 month anniversary for starting my blog! Thanks for all the support guys! I'm going to give away a prize package to celebrate!! Whoever comments on this post will be entered into a draw to win a little goodie bag of fun stuff! :) Contest closes Thursday Sept. 2 at midnight. Winner will be announced on Friday's blog post! Good luck!!
Today was our last Stamp Club of the 'year'...we are restarting again in September! Looking forward to Allison's scrapbooking club as well! We had so much fun today learning the art of the 'vintage look' ...which is my fave and i have been doing for awhile. Just a little sponging on the edges can add so much to a card! Here's samples of the 3 cards we did, plus a few other pics of us having a great time! Thanks Allison for such a great year of stamping!!
The green circle is our faux suede technique! So cool!
Love this! We learned about paper piecing and faux lace!
Me and my technique card!
Danielle having fun at her first Stamp Club!
This is a new favourite technique for making flowers! it's made out of SU! satin ribbon! Make cuts and heat tool it to make it curl, and stick it down in a circle going from outside to the middle...so cute!
Check back tomorrow for the Layout of the Week #5!!!
I think this is the quickest card i've ever made...in only 5 min! I got the colour combination from the Stampin' Up! demonstrators site. Never would have thought of these colours together: Peach Parfait, Old Olive, Bashful Blue and Soft Suede. Sorry this post is really late (it's already after 2am!) but i've been spending hours looking through the demonstrators website, it's so much fun and very informative!!
I just officially became a Stampin' Up! demonstrator today!! YAY! i'm so excited !!
I've been playing around on the website and just created my own Demonstrator website so anyone can order online from my website and have their order shipped to their own home! Here's the link...i'm still figuring stuff out right now, but take a peek and i'll be posting new stuff on my blog very soon!
Not ready for summer to finish? well it's getting very close to September! here's a 'fall-ish' card.. I used Trendy Trees stamp set and Picture This. Some Chocolate Chip felt ribbon and tied it with hemp twine, library clip and Taken with Teal cardstock, which is now retired...but it's one of my oldtime faves!
Believe it or not, this is the first time I've used this Forest Friends stamp set, it's so cute! I also used one of my favourite and useful sets, Well Scripted... Colours in Chocolate Chip and Pretty in Pink... love these colours together!
A big thanks to all my 'facebook friends' for following my blog! Love you much! ;)
On Friday my friend and future upline Allison took me and fellow stamper Amy up to Cochrane to meet at Kim's house with some other demonstrators for a little info session. I learned alot of good stuff to get my business going! I'm so excited, i'm going to Allison's this Thursday to get signed up!! :)
Kim is such an amazing person and she's done so well for herself, i could only hope to end up as successful as her in 5 years! Here's a few pics from that night (taken on my phone camera...lol) and also a pic of a cute gift Allison made Amy and I. It's a notebook and pen to write down any good info we learn, a pack of gum if we need a refresher, and a box of smarties if we're hungry..LOL...so thoughtful! Thanks Allison!
Kristine showing all her goodies she brought!!
Kim's amazing ink shelf her husband made her!
Also her huge drawers of stamp sets!!!
Kim showing us how to use the new My Digital Studio...fun!
One of Kristine's projects...
Check back tomorrow for my Layout of the Week #4!!!!
This card has many uses...Baby, Birthday, maybe Back to School? I used the Stars #2 die with the BIG SHOT in the new In Colour cardstocks, stamps from Animal Crackers and A to Z sets. As well as a Star Brad and a bit of ribbon in Peach Parfait!
This is a special little gift for a friend of mine that is perfect for holding a giftcard inside. It's a thin metal tin that i decorated with the Friends Never Fade stamp set. I love this set and was so lucky to receive it from my friend Allison! I used one of my fave colours which just retired, but i couldn't resist it with the Basic Black Satin Ribbon!
Can't wait to give it to her! Shh...i'm not saying who its for! ;)
I was thinking about how i haven't had the chance to have a picnic yet this summer and it gave me an idea for a card! This reminds me of my nana's quilt that we use to lay on in the grass enjoying a nice picnic lunch...wish i wasn't sick all weekend, apparently it was the nicest weekend of the summer...just my luck! Hopefully next weekend will be okay! Here i used the Tart & Tangy stamp set along with matching papers i picked up from the Clearance Rack on the SU website! so cute! The 'Bee happy' stamp is from Picture This, and of course my fave...cordoroy buttons!
I had fun with this one! This is dedicated to my other cousin Bethany who is engaged to be married next summer. I love all her quirky photos she takes, and really loved these balloon ones, so i couldn't resist making a scrap page of it!
I made the title look like it was on a polaroid...
So i've been very busy lately with work, and am coming down with a cold...but for some strange reason I woke up at 7:30am today (my day off and only day to sleep in)... I woke up and went for a walk, did some grocery shopping (bought some meds) and am now working on some projects for my blog! Have to catch up!! It's now almost 11am, and i feel like i've done so much already! I usually sleep in til at least noon on my days off...but maybe after some meds i'll be taking a snooze soon! LOL
So here's a birthday card i just made using Circle Circus stamp set, along with all the new In Colours, Cardstock in Concord Crush and Pear Pizzazz, and the ribbon in Poppy Parade. The 'happy birthday' stamp is from the Vintage Labels stamp set.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend! Check back soon for the Layout of the Week #3!!
I love this stamp set, as you may have noticed, but it's so versatile! It was the first one i ordered out of the new Stampin' Up! Catalogue.
I used the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder on the Basic Black cardstock, Newsprint DSP, Real Red Satin ribbon, Vintage brads, and of course, Artistic Etchings stamp set.
Sorry for the delay, it's been a couple of busy days for me. But i just whipped up this card using a stamp set i bought a few months ago but haven't had a chance to use it til now! Greenhouse Garden, which is a 2-step stampin' set. I used Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry, and Tangerine Tango cardstocks, as well as the matching inks. The 'For You' and oval stamp is from Vintage Labels.
So i'm a day early...but i just finished this layout and i had to share it now! This is my cousin Meredith's new baby girl Indira Hope. My cousin Bethany (her sister) is a photographer, and she snapped these amazing pics of the proud parents and cute baby poses!
I used paper from the Sweet Pea DSP stack, cardstock in Chocolate Chip and Pretty In Pink, satin ribbon, cordoroy buttons and new vintage trinket safety pins (my new fave!) Also cut out the letters using the BIG SHOT with the Naturally Serif Alphabet die.
With this card i used the Woodland Walk DSP cut with the Top Note die in the BIG SHOT...Growing Green, Tiny Tags and Three Little Words stampsets. Ink colours in Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa and Garden Green. As well as some Hemp Twine....
I made this little notebook for my soon-to-be sister-in-law Jennifer. I was unable to come home for the bridal shower a couple weeks ago, but i sent a box of homemade goodies! No, not desserts...but handmade gifts! Along with this i made the 2 framed art pieces i posted on this blog in july...check it out HERE if you missed it!
I used the 5"x5" On Board Art journal from the Stampin' Up! catelogue, as well as the Wood Sheets which i cut with the Top Note die on the BIG SHOT...i really love these Wood Sheets, if you haven't tried them i definately recommend it! You can stamp, sponge, and cut with any shape die. I also used the Vintage Vogue stamp set and Chocolate Chip Satin ribbon. And used inks in Baja Breeze, Close to Cocoa and Creamy Caramel...
I can't wait to read everyone's comments and advices when i come home for the wedding in October! Still can't believe my baby brother is getting married!! :)
