Stamp Club...end of 'year' party!

Today was our last Stamp Club of the 'year'...we are restarting again in September! Looking forward to Allison's scrapbooking club as well! We had so much fun today learning the art of  the 'vintage look' ...which is my fave and i have been doing for awhile. Just a little sponging on the edges can add so much to a card! Here's samples of the 3 cards we did, plus a few other pics of us having a great time! Thanks Allison for such a great year of stamping!!

The green circle is our faux suede technique! So cool!

Love this! We learned about paper piecing and faux lace!

Me and my technique card!

Danielle having fun at her first Stamp Club!

This is a new favourite technique for making flowers! it's made out of SU! satin ribbon! Make cuts and heat tool it to make it curl, and stick it down in a circle going from outside to the middle...so cute!

Check back tomorrow for the Layout of the Week #5!!!

A fun night!

On Friday my friend and future upline Allison took me and fellow stamper Amy up to Cochrane to meet at Kim's house with some other demonstrators for a little info session. I learned alot of good stuff to get my business going! I'm so excited, i'm going to Allison's this Thursday to get signed up!! :)
Kim is such an amazing person and she's done so well for herself, i could only hope to end up as successful as her in 5 years! Here's a few pics from that night (taken on my phone camera...lol) and also a pic of a cute gift Allison made Amy and I. It's a notebook and pen to write down any good info we learn, a pack of gum if we need a refresher, and a box of smarties if we're hungry..LOL...so thoughtful! Thanks Allison!

Kim's amazing ink shelf her husband made her!

Summer Picnic...

I was thinking about how i haven't had the chance to have a picnic yet this summer and it gave me an idea for a card! This reminds me of my nana's quilt that we use to lay on in the grass enjoying a nice picnic lunch...wish i wasn't sick all weekend, apparently it was the nicest weekend of the summer...just my luck! Hopefully next weekend will be okay! Here i used the Tart & Tangy stamp set along with matching papers i picked up from the Clearance Rack on the SU website! so cute! The 'Bee happy' stamp is from Picture This, and of course my fave...cordoroy buttons!

Layout of the Week #3

I had fun with this one! This is dedicated to my other cousin Bethany who is engaged to be married next summer. I love all her quirky photos she takes, and really loved these balloon ones, so i couldn't resist making a scrap page of it!

I made the title look like it was on a polaroid...

Happy 80th Grandma!

Here's a scrapbook layout i made in honour of my Grandma's 80th Birthday...I made the '80' out of punches..
Wish i could have been there to celebrate with everyone! Love you!

P.S. this is not the Layout of the Week...I will be posting that tomorrow, so come back soon!! :)

A Circle Circus Birthday!

So i've been very busy lately with work, and am coming down with a cold...but for some strange reason I woke up at 7:30am today (my day off and only day to sleep in)... I woke up and went for a walk, did some grocery shopping (bought some meds) and am now working on some projects for my blog! Have to catch up!!  It's now almost 11am, and i feel like i've done so much already! I usually sleep in til at least noon on my days off...but maybe after some meds i'll be taking a snooze soon! LOL
So here's a birthday card i just made using Circle Circus stamp set, along with all the new In Colours, Cardstock in Concord Crush and Pear Pizzazz, and the ribbon in Poppy Parade. The 'happy birthday' stamp is from the Vintage Labels stamp set.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend! Check back soon for the Layout of the Week #3!!

I used Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry, and Tangerine Tango cardstocks, as well as the matching inks. The 'For You' and oval stamp is from Vintage Labels.

Bridal Advice Book...

I made this little notebook for my soon-to-be sister-in-law Jennifer. I was unable to come home for the bridal shower a couple weeks ago, but i sent a box of homemade goodies! No, not desserts...but handmade gifts! Along with this i made the 2 framed art pieces i posted on this blog in july...check it out HERE if you missed it!
I used the 5"x5" On Board Art journal from the Stampin' Up! catelogue, as well as the Wood Sheets which i cut with the  Top Note die on the BIG SHOT...i really love these Wood Sheets, if you haven't tried them i definately recommend it! You can stamp, sponge, and cut with any shape die.  I also used the Vintage Vogue stamp set and Chocolate Chip Satin ribbon. And used inks in Baja Breeze, Close to Cocoa and Creamy Caramel...
I can't wait to read everyone's comments and advices when i come home for the wedding in October! Still can't believe my baby brother is getting married!! :)
