So this was our technique for July Stamp Club at Allison's. We did Faux Suede. I've show this technique before at one of my classes, but this was a nice refresher. We 'sueded' the ruffled looking strip of Melon Mambo cardstock on the right side. Looks like ribbon doesn't it?
To do this: You'll need a bone folder and a strip of paper. Run your bone folder along the paper a bunch of times as if you are using a paring knife. That's the best way I could describe it. Keep doing this on booth sides til the paper starts to separate into 2. Then peel it apart slowly, and you get this soft suede looking side to the paper! Quick and easy way to add texture to a card.
