Father's Day Card

I'm doing a swap for masculine cards, and thought it would be perfect to do a Father's Day card. My mom found a piece of fabric so I decided to make a shirt card. I just cut the top and folder it over to make a collar. Then added some buttons and a little pocket. I stamped 'dad' with Stampin' Up's  Sweet Shoppe alphabet set. Then finished it off with a cute little 'hi' wooden pin from Little Yellow Bicycle.

Vintage Wedding Groom Layout

Here's another layout of my brother on his wedding day, using the Well Worn Designer Paper from Stampin' Up! I used some Wooden buttons and  Linen Thread for embellishments... I really like the brick paper in the background, very manly...LOL

Vintage Groomsmen Layout

This is a layout of my brother and his groomsmen on his wedding day. I used some vintage looking papers from Well Worn DSP from Stampin' Up! The strips of 'barn wood' were roughed up around the edges and nailed down with some tiny brass button brads from the Vintage Trinkets embellishments. I really love this layout.

Vintage Postage Layout

I had fun making this layout! I had this photo of my brother Taylor sitting on my desk for awhile, I just needed the right inspiration, and papers! Everything here is new products from Stampin' Up! including Postage Due stamp set, and coordinating papers...I love the new Chevron Embossing Folder too!
The background paper is already embossed with a woodgrain on it, but I stamped and spritzed it, then wiped off the excess with a sponge.

This was the day I surprised him for his birthday this past January...it was such a great moment seeing his face when he saw me come out of the kitchen...I'll never forget it!

Masculine Christmas Cards

 

The Frostwood Lodge Designer Series paper is a great way to turn a Christmas card into a more manly one. My boyfriend asked for me to make a few for his bosses at work, so I whipped these up in no time! I was waiting for a chance to use my new paper! LOL 

Not only do they have 'lumberjack' plaids but also wood grain papers! Love it!  I paired this paper with the Lovely As A Tree stamp set. One of my faves! Then used some Log Cabin Smooch Spritz! Perfect name for this card! The base of the card is Crumb Cake, which pairs perfectly with the Crumb Cake Envelopes, which I also stamped a pine tree image on.

Oh and don't forget the 'manly' Hemp twine wrapped around the card as well!
