Banner Frame Art

I had to post this because I've been planning on making one for the past month, but have yet to get around to doing it....but this lovely frame was made by my wonderful mother, Margo!!  She's a new member of the design team for Scrapping Nook Ltd. based out of Port Colborne Ontario. I'm so glad she has this fun opportunity to push herself to get creative!!!

She used the Little Yellow Bicycle 'Swoon' line to display fun black and white photos of my brother's wedding. The mini clothespins are from Stampin' Up!

And here's a scrap page she did as well...I just love this photo of my bro and sis-in-laws shoes with the handcut confetti by my awesome cousin/photographer Bethany. 

Well, I have one more day of work, then a 4 day weekend!!! Woot Woot!!! I'll be getting some creating done, FINALLY!!!!

A special CONGRATS to my good friend/ex-upline Allison Okamitsu for earning the Stampin' Up! Getaway Trip to Hilton Head Island!!! You deserve it so much and  I'm so proud of you!!!

Grilled Veggie Sammies!

These are my go-to sandwiches to make for dinner! Healthy and filling!!

I just buy a good hearty bread to grill, this one is from the grocery store bakery...Roasted Garlic and peppercorn!! Then I grill portobello mushrooms, red onion, red pepper, and zucchini. Then add some feta cheese and some Asiago & Artichoke dip. I found a new one made with greek yogurt by SummerFresh! Tastes about the same as the original and waaaaaay less fat and calories!!!! Check it out!

Stamp Club Treats!

I'm getting ready for Stamp Club tomorrow, and I'm the hostess this month! So excited to get my new catty freebies!! I'm making some fun treats for the girls...Chocolate covered strawberries! I had some fun decorations from work, chocolate caviar with gold and silver shimmer dust! So pretty!

Happy Daddy's Day!!!

I forgot to take a photo of the card I sent to my dad...we made it at the last stamp club...oh well. But I just wanted to say 'Happy Father's Day' to my wonderful daddy! He is the best dad ever! Love you!!

4th Spot ...new local favourite restaurant!

Last weekend we decided to try out this fairly new restaurant in our neighbourhood called 4th Spot.

 
I was pleasantly surprised, and am going back this Saturday with a friend! The atmosphere is inviting, and the walls covered with black and white photos of places in the neighbourhood.

 They have a bar in the upper level, and general seating on the main floor.  

Stairs to bar...look like old street signs..all the surrounding communities.

 For appetizers we tried the Calamari and the Inferno Prawns. The sauce for the prawns were so delicious, I could have drank it all up! LOL But at least they give you lots of foccacia to soak it up!

For our mains, Carlos had steak of course!!

And I had the veggie burger! It was sooooo good! Homemade patty, very 'meaty'...spicy mayo on a soft bun stabbed with a pickle!!

We both got the sweet potato fries...and I can't get over how darn stinkin' cute these little fryer baskets are that they serve their fries in!!! adorable!!!

I recommend trying out 4th Spot, they have live music every Tuesday too! I'm all about supporting Local!!

Breakfast of Champions!

I was so pleased to see these Free Run eggs from Burnbrae farms at my local grocery store! Every little difference counts...look at the difference in the colour of the yolks compared to you're run of the mill over produced inhumane egg farms...

I decided to try a vegan sausage patty for this champion of a breakfast sandwich I made this morning...And if you know me, I love breakfast sausages! but I'm going on almost 4 months of being a 'vegetarian'  and these are pretty darn good!

Whole wheat bun, avocado, free run egg, vegan sausage patties ...equals ...a darn good breakfast!
