Sneak Peek....Framed Art!

I spent today working on my Christmas gift for my brother and his wife....Ya I know, it's a little late, but I was planning on giving it to them in person when I go home in February, rather than trying to ship it.  So far it's turned out great! I have a few more things to add, but I'm pretty much done. I'm going to show a sneak peek, cause I don't want them to see it yet....I'll post the rest in about a month or so...

I was so thrilled when the new Occasions Mini came out and I saw the Botanical Gazette DSP! It was perfect for doing layouts of my brother's wedding since their theme was birds/birdcages/birch trees....it matches so perfectly!  Can't wait to show you all the finished product!

Have a great day! Thanks for stopping by!

Butterfly Spotlight

Here's another card using a stamp from the Nature Walk stamp set.  I did the simple Spotlight Technique by colouring one image and matting it with cardstock, then popping it up with Dimensionals.

Add some matching Pear Pizzazz 1/2" stitched- poly ribbon and an Antique Brad , and you got a quick 5 min card ready to go!

Simple Nature Walk Cards

I am in LOVE with this new stamp set, Nature Walk,  from the Occasions Mini (on now til April 30!) The coordinating Botanical Gazette Designer Series Paper is so unbelievably beautiful! I wanted to showcase just how gorgeous and perfectly matching the paper is to the stamps, so for these cards I did a really simple design. These would make a great gift of blank notecards!

Just had to show how pretty this paper is with the honeycomb, love the bees too!!!

Nature Walk Stamp Set -  Wooden $31.95  Clear $22.95

Botanical Gazette DSP $12.50 - 12 Double Sided Sheets 12x12

Valentine Defined #5

A great way to used up scraps is glue them together and cut into shapes with the Big Shot. Here I used scraps from the Love Letter DSP and Newsprint DSP. I glued them all to a piece of cardstock then used the Top Note Die. The sentiment is from the Seasonal Sentiments stamp set from the current Holiday Mini. The cute love birds (flamingos) are from Valentine Defined set, which I have been featuring all week.

Add a Vintage flair with some Basic Pearls, Victoria Crochet Trim and Antique Brads. Also I embossed the card base with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder on the Big Shot.

Valentine Defined #4

I <3 this card so much! I love black and red together, especially Stampin' Up! Cherry Cobbler red is so rich and beautiful! This is the 4th card in my week long Valentine Defined card series. Here I used the Heart tree stamp from the Valentine Defined Stamp set available Jan. 4!!! Only 3 more days :)
I used Love Letter Designer Series Paper, available in the Idea Book & Catalogue. And who thought the Raven Lace Trim was only good for Halloween? It looks so elegant for Valentines Day! The little sentiment  is from You & Moi stamp set ( which is retired)

These mini safety pins from Vintage Trinkets  add such a great detail to any project!

Thanks for stopping by! And Happy New Year!

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2011!!!!!

Happy 2011 Everyone!! I did this Bling'd out card for a challenge on SUO. So much Bling!
I used the Snow Burst Stamp set as 'fireworks' and embossed them with gold and silver powders. The Clear Tinsel Trim with Star Brad is supposed to represent the shiny ball dropping like in Times Square...LOL  Picture doesn't do it justice...so hard to photograph bling in the right lighting!

I added even MORE Bling with Champagne Glass Glitter, Silver Shimmer Paint(on black cardstock to create my own silver paper!) and Basic Rhinestones, lots of rhinestones!!! ;)

Hope everyone has a safe and happy new year!! Let the resolutions begin! ;)
