I've been having some fun creating some wearable art! Today I made some button earrings using the corduroy buttons and brads from Stampin' Up! (all from the clearance rack- most colours still available)  I also did some hairclips using assorted buttons from last years catalogue, but the Latte ones are still available on Clearance Rack as well.

I will be doing more using the new Fabric and Brads from the Occasions Mini, stay tuned! :)

Handmade Vintage Inspired Hair Clip

I LOVE handmade jewelery and hair clips, so I thought why not make some cute stuff for little girls (or little girls at heart!) I made a bunch up today (which I will show later), but there was one that I made which might end up being for me, cause it's totally my style! I had some feathers and cute little heart pins, added some Victoria Crochet Trim and Antique brads and some netting....and I made this!

What do ya think?  :)

Old School Valentine

Today was all about using my stash! This card has last years Sending Love Specialty DSP, Chocolate Chip Stitched Grosgrain ribbon and the crocheted Fleurettes and corduroy brads in Real Red. Oh and the You & Moi stamp set, which I got for free last Sale-a-bration i believe...

Anyone want to play along??  Email me a photo of a card or layout using some old Stampin' Up! products. I'll feature you on my blog! Let's have some fun! :)

Simply Adorned Necklace

This is the 1 1/2" x 2" Charm with the 24" Chain. This is the first necklace I've made with the Simply Adorned Line from Stampin' Up! It was very easy to make an insert for it, and roomy enough for embellishments. I added Victoria Crochet Trim and Basic Pearls, and it closed just fine.

I used the bird stamp from Nature Walk, the handcrafted from Tiny Tags, with the Tag Punch, also the Newsprint DSP.
I'm excited to make new inserts for different occasions or holidays! It makes a great gift too! But I'm keeping this for myself to wear at workshops and events!

Poppy Parade Valentine

I haven't used my In Colours lately, so I thought I'd use some Poppy Parade DSP. I dug out a Valentine set I bought over a year ago called Love You Much. They have really cute designs, kind of like hand drawn pictures...I also used the 'xoxo' definition from Define Your Life. This set is truly amazing, it has 28 stamps!

I was playing around with something different for my ribbon, and it almost looks like a braid...i think it's pretty! I just folded it back and forth , keeping it tighter and even... what do you think? ;)

Just a reminder: the  Filled With Love promotion is still on til January 24. If you forgot what the great deals are Click Here!! Get a FREE pack of Bitty Buttons with any order from the Filled with Love bundles!

Very Vintage!

Sorry it's been a few days since I last posted, but I've been busy working and planning some upcoming classes and workshops! I just have to work one more day and I'm off for the rest of the week! Looking forward to locking myself in the house and creating! Especially to get away from this -20C weather we are now having!
So....here's a quick card I just whipped up, I'm calling it VERY Vintage! LOL lots of sponging to 'dirty' it up!

I used the measuring tape from the Botanical Gazette DSP and crunched it up, just like ribbon with Sticky Strip!

Stampin' Up! Products used:
Paper: Crumb Cake Cardstock, Botanical Gazette DSP
Ink: Soft Suede
Embellishments: Antique Brad, Victoria Crochet Trim, Basic Pearls, Vintage Wallpaper EB Folder, Big Shot

Sneak Peek....Framed Art!

I spent today working on my Christmas gift for my brother and his wife....Ya I know, it's a little late, but I was planning on giving it to them in person when I go home in February, rather than trying to ship it.  So far it's turned out great! I have a few more things to add, but I'm pretty much done. I'm going to show a sneak peek, cause I don't want them to see it yet....I'll post the rest in about a month or so...

I was so thrilled when the new Occasions Mini came out and I saw the Botanical Gazette DSP! It was perfect for doing layouts of my brother's wedding since their theme was birds/birdcages/birch trees....it matches so perfectly!  Can't wait to show you all the finished product!

Have a great day! Thanks for stopping by!

Butterfly Spotlight

Here's another card using a stamp from the Nature Walk stamp set.  I did the simple Spotlight Technique by colouring one image and matting it with cardstock, then popping it up with Dimensionals.

Add some matching Pear Pizzazz 1/2" stitched- poly ribbon and an Antique Brad , and you got a quick 5 min card ready to go!
